Pollinator played a blistering set in an intimate show at Hells Kitchen on Sunday afternoon and gave the audience insight into what this innovative band has been up to recently during an album launch for Fruit, their new album.  The show provided the audience with songs from the new album and a selection of fan favourites and showed off Everts new hair style( I think I miss the long hair) but most of the ladies I asked feel it is very cute…

This power three piece, my favourite rock and roll set up, Guitar, Bass and Drums,  again provided exciting progressive rock and roll with the effects driven guitar that just flows over you during the show, supported by a solid rhythm section which provides structure to the fairly complex progressive rock music this band is known for.

All three members of this band sing and provide support vocals which provide an interesting dimension to their music, with all members having strong vocals and are able to take the lead vocals at any time which provides variety, enabling them to make use of harmonies and vocal effects, which is fairly unique in the alternative music scene, where bands often have a sole lead vocalist and make minor use of supporting vocals. This use of multiple voices is something I have been noticing in the newer bands and adds a new dimension to the music.
